arranged workshop on IPPB at civil service officers institute in New Delhi on
07.03.2018 from 10-00 A.M. to 5-00 P.M. Com. S.S. Mahadevaiah, General
Secretary, Com. B.V. Rao, Asst. General Secretry and Circle Secretary A.P.
Circle, Com. M.D. Aereh, Working President, Com. Lakhwinder Pal Singh, CHQ
Treasurer, Com. R.P. Diwaker, Asst. General Secretary, Com. C.B. Tiwari,
Asst. General Secretary and Circle Secretary Uttar Pradesh Circle, Com. B. Jayaraju,
Circle Secretary, Telangana Circle, Com. Jagdish Rawat, Cicle Secretary,
Uttarakhand Circle attended as AIGDSU representatives. At 10-00 A.M. welcome
address was given by Sri DDG (PBI) Later Secretary (Posts) Sri A.N. Nanda
presented opening remarks. Sri Suresh Sethi CEO & MD, IPPB Shri Sachin
Kishore, DDG (FS), Ms. Madhumitha Das DDG (PBI-I) Sri T.Q. Mohamad, DDG
(PBI-II) gave lecture on various topics of payment Bank. General Secretary
vehemently opposed the proposed commission/ remuneration to GDS for Payment
Bank work. With the initiation of AIGDSU, All the federations and GDS unions
handed over the letter to the Secretary Department of posts appealing for
enhancement of working hours of B.Os and GDS officials after introducing the
Payment Bank instead of granting incentive/remuneration to GDS for payment
bank work. Sri Tilak Day, Additional D.G, Smt. Usha Chandrasekhar, Member
(O), Sri Uday Krishna, Member (Banking),
Dr. Y.P. Rai, Member (PLI) and other senior officers attended.
The workshop was ended
at 5-00 P.M. with vote of thanks by Sri T.Q. Mohammad, DDG (PBI-II).

POSITION OF THE GDS COMMITTEE
AIGDSU General
Secretary and other representatives discussed about the implementation of GDS
committee with Secretary (Posts) Sri A.N. Nanda in IPPB workshop more than
half an hour. Secretary (Posts) told that Department of posts prepared cabinet
note giving replies to all queries raised by Ministry of Finance. Secretary
(Posts) also informed that he signed on the cabinet note on late last night
and was sent to the Minister Communication for his signature. After Ministers
signature it was again sent to Finance and there after to the cabinet. Secretary (Posts)
told that there is a chance to implement the GDS Committee report at an
earliest date.
Dharna at Prime Minister’s residence on
15-03-2018 at 10-00 A.M.
Dharna at Prime Minister’s resident on 15-03-2018 will be
conducted as it is. All the C.W.C. members, Circle Secretaries, Divisional
and Branch Secretaries are requested to bring more number of GDS officials to
Delhi.
